The procedure is less invasive than traditional liposuction and provides a safe method for eliminating stubborn areas of fat that do not respond to diet and exercise.<\/p>\n<h2>What to Expect During and After SmartLipo<\/h2>\n<p>SmartLipo is an in-office procedure that is performed using a local anesthetic. Depending on the number and size of the areas to be treated, the procedure can take anywhere from one to two hours to complete. Most patients only report feeling a slight sensation of pressure or tugging during the procedure.<\/p>\n<p>Some minor swelling and bruising are to be expected following a SmartLipo treatment. Patients are encouraged to wear a compression garment following the procedure to support the area and promote healing.
