Reduce the Appearance of Fine Lines & Wrinkles with Restylane Silk
Restylane Silk is a non-surgical cosmetic filler injection used to reduce the appearance of both fine lines and wrinkles. When injected by one of our skincare experts, it is safe, relatively painless, and can produce remarkable changes in your appearance in a short period of time. Most of the Restylane Silk injection is derived from hyaluronic acid, a biocompatible compound that the body produces naturally.
This means it should not have any major side effects and will be absorbed naturally when it breaks down. It is also reversible if desired. Restylane Silk is particularly popular for enhancing the appearance of lips, because it produces a softer, fuller look where other dermal fillers can look hard and unnatural.
How Is Restylane Silk Administered?
Restylane Silk injections are done on an outpatient basis at the Calabasas Dermatology Center. It is a simple cosmetic procedure that normally takes under an hour to perform. Your provider will use a very thin, fine needle to inject the dermal filler into the connective tissue beneath the area to be treated. The injection also incorporates lidocaine, a topical anesthetic, to help numb and reduce discomfort.
Once in place, Restylane Silk will absorb water from the surrounding tissues, gently filling out and stretching the skin above and producing a fuller, fresher appearance. There should be little or no downtime after a Restylane Silk injection. Some slight swelling and/or bruising may be possible, but should clear up after a few days. The improvements to your skin should be immediately noticeable, and will last from 6 to 9 months before the facial filler breaks down.
Who Can Benefit from Restylane Silk?
While every patient's case is different, Restylane Silk can benefit almost everyone, from those who want to reduce the appearance of small wrinkles to those who have deeper facial lines.
