Would you like to do something truly effective to treat the unsightly appearance of pigmentation, wrinkles, or facial scars? At Calabasas Dermatology Center, our microneedling procedure has helped many of our patients achieve smoother, fresher, younger-looking skin – without surgery. When microneedling is performed under the careful guidance of Dr. Hal Weitzbuch, you can expect the result to be exceptional and arguably the safest results in microneedling Calabasas has to offer.
Microneedling can be an effective way to treat the following skin conditions, when performed by our outstanding team of skincare providers:
Microneedling, or skin needling, is a procedure performed by a dermatologist that uses multiple, tiny needles, less than 0.25mm each in diameter, to create tiny skin injuries. These dermal skin injuries cause new collagen to form through triggering the natural regenerative process.
Collagen is what helps give strength and flexibility to the skin. It is a fibrous protein produced by the body but as time passes, less and less collagen is produced naturally, and the skin begins to wrinkle and sag. Microneedling stimulates the skin to begin producing collagen once again, leading to firmer, tighter, more supple, youthful facial skin.
Any facial treatment must be performed with the most advanced treatment systems, under the care and guidance of a board-certified dermatologist. Dr. Hal Weitzbuch is a premier medical provider with a hand-selected staff of highly-trained skincare providers. We have often been called upon to correct unsightly problems for patients who have undergone a skincare treatment at a medspa.
Never risk your face or skin to anyone but a dermatology office of highest repute, such as Calabasas Dermatolgy Center. Issues can arise that lead to unsightly outcomes if the microneedling procedure is performed incorrectly – our outstanding skills and knowledge of skin structure makes us a “go-to” for microneedling in Calabasas and its surrounding areas.
Microneedling can also perforate and soften scar tissue and stimulate collagen growth. The new collagen can help fill in concave scars and wrinkles from the bottom up for a smoother, more attractive skin appearance.
This process can take two to three months to produce visible results, but some patients have experienced noticeable results after only a few days. Everyone reacts differently to this process, so results and the time it takes varies with each patient.
Microneedling can be used all over the body, but the face, neck and chest are the most commonly treated areas. Many of our patients come to Calabasas Dermatology Center to improve the quality of facial skin.
Our range of treatments and procedures, all performed under the care and guidance of a board-certified dermatologist, produces truly remarkable improvements, and we invite you to find out how we can help you safely and effectively achieve smoother, younger-looking skin.
An anesthetic cream is used to make the treatment comfortable to experience. A layer of purified water may be applied to lubricate the skin so the treatment wand glides smoothly over the skin surface. After treatment, your skin may appear slightly reddened, similar to a sunburn. Serums, which can more deeply penetrate the skin, may be used in treatment.
Multiple treatments are often required for more severe skin flaws. The number of microneedling sessions depends entirely upon the current condition of the patient's skin. Deeper scars or stretch marks may need five or more treatments. However, someone with mild to moderate acne scarring may only require three or four treatments. For the best results in microneedling Calabasas has to offer, we schedule each treatment four to six weeks apart, giving the skin time to heal between treatments.
Our boutique practice was built around the patient experience, and we focus upon producing the greatest improvement possible. We go above and beyond in our patient care, and Dr. Hal Weitzbuch, our award-winning, board-certified dermatologist may recommend this procedure singly, or in combination with other cosmetic treatments based upon skin condition.
Every patient can expect a customized treatment plan to achieve what they envision. Laser skin resurfacing has a similar purpose to microneedling, but is more invasive. People of all skin types can undergo microneeding as a great alternative to laser skin treatment. We achieve even greater benefits for our patients by performing microneedling with platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy.
If you have heard of microneedling and wonder if this treatment is right for you, contact Calabasas Dermatology Center and schedule your consultation with our team of experts who will perform arguably the best results in microneedling Thousand Oaks and its surrounding areas have to offer. Our staff are friendly and welcoming, and ready to help you with your journey to fresher, younger-looking, smoother, healthy skin with microneedling – performed correctly.
